Emergency nursing for uncontrolled hyperglycemia patients
Kim Hyun-Su

Abstract
This scenario was designed to incorporate the process for treating diabetic ketoacidosis patients in emergency nursing. Diabetic ketoacidosis is an emergency in internal medicine that can occur in patients with type 1 diabetes who do not manage their insulin regime well. Diabetic ketoacidosis can cause patients to experience a change in consciousness level and abdominal pain. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the symptoms and initiate therapeutic interventions to provide proper treatment, such as the immediate injection of fluids and insulin. This education scenario could train nursing students to improve their knowledge and accurate clinical judgment.
